The Preserve –
Assisted Living Facility
Estero, FL
By creating design charrettes/meetings with an out-of-state architect and utilizing local state and building design criteria, the preconstruction offered invaluable costs savings suggestions on exterior water barrier design, structure design utilizing concrete masonry units and hollow core plank construction, and air conditioning systems life cycle analysis.
As the design progressed, we brought in subcontractors early on to meet with our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) subject matter experts to review the design and code to keep the out-of-state engineers aligned with Florida Building Code and Construction means and methods.
